Your Highland Perthshire Retreat Awaits Discovery.....
Aberfeldy is located in the Highlands of central Scotland, sandwiched between the two great National Parks of the Cairngorms to the North and Loch Lomond & the Trossachs to the South West. It is just over 2 hours by road from Glasgow and Aberdeen, an hour and a half from Edinburgh.
The town lies on the south bank of the River Tay and grew to its present size as a result of the benefit of the river crossing constructed by General Wade in 1733.
Aberfeldy was Scotland's first Fairtrade town, and lies in Strathtay some 6 miles to the East of the northern end of Loch Tay. To the North West lies Schiehallion (pictured), while to the West lies Ben Lawers, the 10th highest peak in Scotland.
The Cottage is located on Taybridge Drive, between the road and the river at the Southern end of the Drive.
The cottage enjoys a magnificent setting looking down over the river Tay with breath-taking views of the hills to the North and West.
